Golden Week 2019 Traffic Forecast

In Japan, there is a long public holiday called Golden Week from the end of April to the beginning of May. For 2019, the Golden Week period is 10 consecutive holidays from April 27 to May 6.

Japanese people often use this long holiday to travel, either back to their rural homes or around the country for leisure, so congestion will likely cause traffic jams. If you will be going to Japan around this period, we recommend a relaxed travel plan.
